A Venue Like No Other!

Heritage Park can be found in the south-east of the island in the wonderful parish of St Philip. St Philip boasts of a constant, cooling sea breeze and vantage points which offer breathtaking views of the Barbadian countryside or the sea. St. Philip is the largest of the 11 parishes of Barbados and because of its proliferation of open space and crop cultivation is considered by locals to be “the country”. Heritage Park is easy to reach as it is close to the Six Roads development.

Heritage Park – Where The Charm Of The Past Meets The Expectations Of Today

In case you didn’t know, many of the prominent features at Foursquare Rum Distillery & Heritage Park have a story behind them. So, when you consider our venue for your events, here are some fun facts about the premises, which are filled with history.

It all began with the Sugar Factory, which the Seales wanted to keep as an integral part of Heritage Park. Our almost 300 year old Distill House was used for the purchasing of crops and stored factory equipment which lay idle for many years. Eventually, the Distill House was carefully restored; thereby retaining as much of the original architecture of the building as possible.

Furthermore, the area which is now known as the Amphitheatre, was once the Sugar Factory’s cane pit. Cane used to be placed in the pit until it was ready to be moved into the factory for sugar production. Once again, since the Seales wanted to keep the original structure, it was converted into the Amphitheatre.
