This summer, the Friends of the New Milford Public Library are saying a temporary goodbye—but not without a final literary celebration. Due to major library construction, the Annual Summer Book Sale at New Milford High School will be their last event for at least two years.
Mark your calendar for these key dates:
- Thursday, July 11: Early Bird Hour (9–10 a.m.) for $5 admission; free entry from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
- Friday, July 12: Open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Saturday, July 13: Final clearance from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.—all books half price!
With thousands of used books spanning every interest—from fiction and history to cookbooks and kids’ titles—this is your last chance to stock up before the library’s long renovation pause. The Friends’ message is clear: “Think ahead and STOCK up!!”
Whether you’re a casual reader or a dedicated collector, this sale is your final opportunity until 2027. Act now while the shelves are full:
